Singing Macey

For today’s performance, Macey would like to sing a song to the viewing audience. May I present, the one and only, “Tru Mae”.

Daddy Day

What happens when Beth goes to work one day and I am home with all 3 girls, because the school decided to give every kid in Pearland the day off? YOU GUESSED IT.. Daddy Day. It started by making breakfast, then the weekly trip with the girles to McDonalds… that gourmet palace that gives cool kids toys to all the children. The girls helped me change the oil in the van. (Actually didn’t help… just rode with me) We washed the van… again just sat in van while the touchless car wash did it’s thing. to top of the day…

I took the girls to the putt putt place. The objective of the game is to finish the fastest, not to score the best. Thats how golf works with Shelby and Audrey. There was one holf, that had a water trap… where the ball goes into this flowing river and then shots out back onto the course. Pretty neat. So the older girls hit their ball into the water and then back unto the green. Macey soon followed. She thought it was fun to throw her ball into the water as well. As we went to the next hole, Macey saw another river with rushing water… There goes her orange ball off to never never land. It was quite funny. I came to the rescue, snorkled into the green foam lake, and returned the ball to my little lady. We had fun.  Enjoy the pics.

I forgot to totally mention Beth’s 31st Birthday here on this cool cool blog. I hope she doesn’t read this too often. Hey, maybe I can change the post date and make it look like it was written back on feb. 5th. Maybe sooo. I also speak geek.

Anyways, we had the Grandparents keep the babies (girlies), so that I could take Beth to a really swanky place to eat. There is this new upper scale restaurant off Space Center Blvd., on the edge of Pasadena, called “Cullen’s”. You can drop a chunk of cash there very easily. The atmosphere was really really nice. Excellence service. The food is gourmet… you have to kinda work around the fluff to eat the meat. :) They brought us a dessert for Beth’s day. I am so glad this restaurant is not one of those s”singing ones”. As a former waiter in college…. I hated singing to people at the restaurant  HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY. oh the pain. Ok,back to beth. I got to spoil her at least for one night. She is a wonderful wife and deserves way more than I can give.

Two Year Olds

NEWS FLASH: Macey turns two!!!
It seems lately we have been spending alot of time at Chuck E. Cheese. But thats all Macey has been talking about. The only sad thing is that she wasn’t feeling too well the night of her party. She had a great time anyway: blowing out candles, playing games and staring at Chuck E.

She has been playing with her NEW magna doodle.

Audrey’s 6th Birthday

audrey6b

Audrey turned six this January. It is amazing how fast time is flying buy. Beth dediced to have her party at Chuck E Cheese. What kid doesn’t like that place. A place where you spend tons of tokens for tickets on items that cost less than what you spent on tokens. Audrey loved it. Too bad I was sick for the whole party thing. Beth ventured with the three girls by herself. Audrey raked in the loot  and gifts.

Audrey also made a cake with Grandma B. It was rainbow in color and in flavor on the inside. What is rainbow flavor, I asked? I still can’t tell you. At least she let her sister’s help in blowing out her candles. What a sweet girl. Before we know it, she will be a teenager. What do we do then? I am still reading up on that.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUDREY!

A Christmas Carroll

Funny title huh. I had been made fun of my name most of my life. Finally, for at least one day, I get to enjoy it. On great thing about being a parent, is that you get to make Christmas amazing for your children. The looks on their faces, their excitement of opening gifts, and the times we spend together with no work or school. Oh such great times. This Christmas the girls opened presents as usual and played with them lots. For Macey, this year she actually understood that their was something in the boxes. She would open one and scream… oh my… in her cute kiddo voice. Then she would open another and scream again.

The other girls loved their gifts of course. Beth got me some cologne and a very cool longhorn hoodie. The girls and I bought Beth a purse and some perfume. Yes, you heard right, I went purse shopping. Audrey wanted to pick out some pink fluffy purse, I almost bought it just for laughs. After this it was off to grandma’s so they could be spoiled some more.

Any way I thought I would share a few picture for you to remember.

The Night Before Christmas

On Christmas Eve evening, the girlies baked cookies for santa (yep! he liked them) and they wrote him a cute little note. They were sooooo excited, that they were dancing and jumping around in the living room. Shelby, who usually sleeps really good, didn’t go down till around midnight then woke up around 2am and then went back down sometime after that. Crazy Crazy night. The hardest part was trying to keep Macey from eating Santa’s cookies. Every time we would turn around she would sneak over and have on in hand.

Shelby’s Christmas Play

cplay1

All the of the Second grade classes put on a play at the Elementary School called “The Littlest Reindeer”. Shelby role was to be in the choir. This was our daughter’s first school program. We were very excited, but not more excited than she was. Shelbs kept bouncing around running from us as we came to the school.

Grandma also came to cheer Shelby on. Macey watch for approx. 3 sec. then decided to wander thru the crowd, just to walk around. Who’s say you came make a toddler mind. :) Anyway, we had an amazing time. I guess you can’t tell that we are very proud of our girls. Merry Christmas.

baby number 4

Hey all,

Here is our first clear picture of our newest member of the family. He/She has a hand in the air waving hi. Cool huh. Anyway the due date is somewhere around the first of June. Now the only question is whether or not we are having a boy or a girl. If it is a girl… then it will be 5 vs 1 in my home. I may be a little out numbered. If it is a boy, I may need to read a book, “Boy Babies for Dummies”.

We are really excited about our newest addition. I will try to keep everyone posted on the progress. I guess we need to start thinking of names. If you have any ideas, feel free to comment away.

Hallowe… I mean the Fall Festival Day

Last night we took the girls to a local church here in Houston to their annual Fall Fest Party Night. It was free to the community and very huge. It had everything, from inflatables, a fire truck, petting zoo, tae kwon do presentation, toddler room, face painting, candy, more candy, more inflatables, food, carnival games, and miniature pony rides. We stayed out way to late… you could tell when we got back in the van.

the girls had a great time. Shelby dressed up as a kitty cat… she loves animals. Audrey changed costumes at least 5 times, eventually ended up as a ballerina. Not to forget Macey. All she wanted was a pretty pink princess dress. Actually she had been wearing it for weeks before so it was easy to get her to wear it.

the purple marker monster

What happens when you leave a year and a half year old, alone for 5 minutes, then realize that you need to find what she is up too? Well, we found little Macey and this is what she did . She had tattooed her entire left arm and part of her legs with non-washable purple marker… We laughed… It reminded us of the internet email that gets forwarded about the kids who colored himself all-over. I thought we would share this little video with the world. By the way, some friends at church thought she had bruises. not good.

-chris-

ps- it took actually 2 days to completely get all of the marker off macey’s skin. haha

lil PUMPKINS

Since fall has set in and the weather is getting cooler we took the girls out for the evening. We decided to go to a pumpkin patch at a local church here in Pearland. We took pictures of the girls on and in the pumpkin patch. Each girl got to choose their own small pumpkin for themselves. Of course they didn’t pay for them. :) If you come over sometime you can see them for yourselves. Enjoy

Well IKE blew my fence down. I am very grateful that was the extent of our hurricane damage. Well our fence was down for about 1.5 weeks. One of our neighbors still hasn’t put theirs up yet. Anyway, I faced the challenge of having to put my own fence back up. 3 days and 37 splinters later… also with the help of Glen, my stepdad: the fence was done!!!

If any of you need handy work, I could be your man… It may take 3 times as long and cost you more than a professional would be, but I do have some skills. For those of you who doubt… here are some before and after shots of my handy work. Call me if you need my help. 713-HOME-DEPOT
